30 Muscovy ducks had established themselves around the retention ponds within the apartment complex, a common scenario in Central Florida where permanent water sources and human activity create ideal conditions for invasive bird populations.
Over time, the ducks began frequenting high-traffic areas, including the community swimming pool deck. This created sanitation concerns, tenant complaints, and potential liability risks for property management.
Because Muscovy ducks are classified as an invasive species in Florida, their handling requires proper knowledge of both wildlife regulations and humane relocation practices.
