Wildlife Control Operator – Full-Time

Location: Ocala, FL

Wildlife Works LLC is hiring Wildlife Control Operators (Wildlife Technicians) to join our team in Ocala, FL. If you’re seeking a full-time role, this is an exciting opportunity to work in the field of wildlife management, using innovative techniques to solve animal conflicts.

Wildlife Works Owners

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Abide regulations by FL Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission
  • Climbing and moving ladders or heavy equipment of around 50-70 lbs
  • Comfortable and able to safely traverse rooftops and attic spaces
  • Operating basic power tools
  • Capable of learning basic wildlife behavior and sign
  • Comfortable handling various wildlife species
  • Work in a team environment with a positive attitude
  • Following direction and problem solve
  • Arrive on job sites within a specified timeframe
  • Provide a person vehicle for travel to and from shop (work vehicles provided for daily operations)


Skills and qualifications:

  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Basic hand and power tool skills
  • Adaptive and creative mindset
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting
  • Comply with all company, local, state, and federal laws & regulations


Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 70lbs
  • Capable of climbing ladders
  • Capable of maneuvering tight spaces such as attics safely
  • Comfortable working in Florida weather during all seasons
  • Ability to drive throughout the state of Florida


Preferred candidates will:

  • Have wildlife trapping experience
  • Have experience working with wildlife or knowledge of their behaviors
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Ability to work weekends
